Canon Short Film: Pastry Chef

Posted by Broadway Camera on 2015-03-11

The most common question asked to anyone working in the photography industry is probably “What camera should I buy?”. Quite often people expect that you need something super expensive in order to make good images or videos and that simply isn’t true. While there certainly is a difference in “quality” as you move up in price range, a good photographer or videographer can get the job done with whatever he has on hand. Creative vision and sound technique gets you more results than megapixels and focusing points.

For example, see this short film on Canon’s YouTube channel documenting the skills and precision of a pastry chef, shot on a Canon’s new entry level DSLR, the Rebel T6i. Sure, cinematographer Shinya Matsuo has a plethora of gear to help him get the shot but for the most part, he’s working off just a DSLR and an affordable zoom lens.
