Posted by Broadway Camera on 2015-03-3

We’ve been hearing some rumors of new Sony FE lenses for a little while now but today we finally got confirmation that we’ll be seeing a new Zeiss Distagon T* FE F1.4 as well as FE 90mm F2.8 Macro, FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3, and FE 28mm F2 lenses soon. The FE 24-240mm will be available later this month with the others following shortly.

ZEISS Distagon T* FE 35mm F1.4 ZA

The big deal of the bunch is the new Zeiss 35mm F1.4, which is the first E-mount lens with a F1.4 aperture. The lens features 9 aperture blades for smooth bokeh and a Direct Drive SSM system to make focusing as quiet as possible.

The aperture ring can be set for either click-stops or click-less smooth operation and the lens is dust/moisture resistant.

24-240mm F3.5-6.3 FE OSS

The new FE 24-240mm is meant as Sony’s “all-in-one” zoom lens with a 10x range, ideal for a traveller looking for a lens that can handle anything so they can travel light and switch less.

The 24-240mm features Optical SteadyShot (OSS) stabilization, an advanced linear motor for quick response throughout the zoom range as well as dust and moisture resistance.
