Nikon Announces New D7500 Mid-range DSLR

Posted by Broadway Camera on 2017-04-12

Today Nikon announced the new D7500, a mid-range DSLR with the 20.9MP sensor, EXPEED 5 and 4K UHD video but is priced closer to the current D7200.

Other features include an ISO range of 100-51,200, 180K-pixel RGB metering sensor, 3.2″ Touch & Tilt LCD screen, and Nikon’s Snapbridge connectivity. The autofocus system is the 51-point AF from the D7200.

The feature set places the D7500, which doesn’t replace any current Nikon camera, right in between the D7200 and the D500. Compared to the D7200, the D7500 is $300 more  features such as the 20.9MP sensor and 180k-pixel RGB sensor as well as a faster continuous mode (8fps vs 6), a larger buffer (50 RAW vs 18) and a vari-angle touchscreen.

The D7500 should arrive sometime in June at a MSRP of $1699.99 for the body only and $2099.99 for the kit with a 18-140mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR lens.
