More announcements are trickling in as CES takes over Las Vegas this week. Panasonic has a new Micro Four Thirds Leica lens and two new compact cameras with the ZS100K/S and the ZS60K/S.

LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 ASPH

Panasonic’s latest announcement, the LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 ASPH, is the longest lens available for the Micro Four Thirds system, equivalent to a 200-800mm lens on a 35mm full-frame system. The all-metal body is weather-sealed with a built-in lens hood and will be compatible with Panasonic’s new Dual IS system.

Expect the newest Leica M4/3 lens to arrive in April 2016 with a MSRP of $2499.99.

LUMIX DMC-ZS100

The ZS100 is Panasonic’s latest 1-inch sensor compact camera, featuring a Leica 25-250mm F2.8-5.9 lens and 4K 30p video. There’s a 3.0″ touchscreen LCD on the back along with a 0.2″ 1160k-dot electronic viewfinder. There’s also Wi-Fi and in-camera RAW conversion for sharing to social media and you can control the ZS100 with Panasonic’s smartphone app.

Although there are now a number 1-inch sensor compacts on the market, the ZS100 looks like it’s quite pocketable for a camera with a 10x zoom lens attached to it. MSRP is $999.99 and the ZS100 is estimated to arrive in April 2016.

LUMIX DMC-ZS60

The other compact camera, the ZS60, has a much longer zoom range of 24-720mm but with a smaller 18MP 1/2.3″ MOS sensor. Like the ZS100, the ZS60 has 4K video as well as the same 3.0″ LCD and 0.2″ EVF. It will retail at $649.99 and like the other two, will be here in April 2016.
