Details of  Tamron's 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036) lens, which we first heard of back in February, have been announced and the Sony FE mount lens is now officially available for pre-order. 

The  Tamron 28-75mm lens features 15 elements in 12 groups with a 9-bladed circular diaphragm. The lens is designed with "specialized glass elements throughout to control various optical aberrations, and produces stable resolution across the entire zoom range". Tamron's proprietary BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) Coating reduces flare/ghosting and an RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) motor unit quietly powers the Tamron A036's all-new high-speed precision autofocus system. 

The Model A036 weighs 550g and is 117.8mm long with a minimum focusing distance of 0.19m (7.5 inches) at the 28mm end. Built with Sony FE mount in mind, the 28-75mm is fully compatible with Fast Hybrid AF, Eye AF, Direct Manual Focus, and In-camera lens corrections.
