Who We are Looking For
Broadway Camera is hiring full time photo enthusiasts for our Retail Sales Associate job position at our Richmond store. Candidates should have some prior experience working with customers in a face-to-face setting, be motivated to help customers with their purchases and bring a positive attitude to the workplace. Someone who is knowledgeable in technology or photography would make an ideal candidate.

We have specialized in helping our customers make the right choices for their photography needs for over 40 years, and we are known locally for our customer service, amazing deals and our wide selection of different products from the top brands.

Job Summary
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive, professional demeanor, like to work around people, be a team player, and be willing to learn about our products in order to assist customers. You will need to be able to multitask, be a great listener, and be receptive to ideas and suggestions made by others.

At Broadway Camera, you will
⦁ Greet and educate customers when they seek help or require assistance
⦁ Engage in self-learning about our products and products related to the industry in order better assist and educate our customers
⦁ Operate POS system and assist customers with purchases
⦁ Work with other team members and leaders to ensure a high-quality customer experience
⦁ Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in an effective and timely manner
⦁ Maintain cleanliness of the store and general store up keep
⦁ Merchandise the store, stock shelves and counters
⦁ Assist with store displays and preparations
⦁ Multi-task as needed to assist multiple customers and responsibilities
⦁ Track sales and keep copies of receipts
⦁ Monitor incoming and outgoing cash flow
⦁ Meet established sales quota
⦁ Train and educate other team members through shadow training
⦁ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills to be Successful
⦁ Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
⦁ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
⦁ Detail oriented
⦁ Hard working and a fast learner
⦁ Motivated and willing to go the extra mile for our customers
⦁ Organized and able to prioritize tasks
⦁ Comfortable working with a team and closely following directions
⦁ Keen interest for technology
⦁ An understanding or ability to learn about cameras and photography
⦁ Photography knowledge a plus
⦁ Videography skills a plus
⦁ Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
