The new GoPro Hero 6 Black steps up the action camera's performance to 4K video resolution at 60fps and up to 240fps at Full HD 1080p.
GoPro says that the bump in performance is courtesy of their new GP1 processor which they say outputs "twice the performance" of the Hero 5 Black as well as their best image quality so far. GoPro's image stabilization has also been improved over the Hero 5. In combination with a new linear video mode for distortion correction and GoPro's best low-light performance yet, the Hero 6 could produce some of the best looking action camera footage we've seen.
The Hero 6 Black works with GoPro's recently released Quikstories app which automatically edits your footage into a highlights video with music.
Like the Hero 5, the Hero 6 is waterproof up to 10 meters (33 feet) without an external housing and compatible with existing GoPro mounts. Wi-Fi is now 3x faster than previous GoPro cameras.
