Product description:
The Summicron-M 66 f/2 carries forward the legacy forged by one of the most extraordinary chapters in the history of the Leica M series. With a focal length that is unique to Leica, it is modelled on the historic Elcan 66 mm f/2 lens, designed by Walter Mandler specifically for the US Navy in the late 1960s. Building on the optical design of the original model, this reinterpretation also impresses with its exceptional image quality and soft bokeh effect at a wide aperture. When stopped down, it produces a precise image characterised by great attention to detail and high contrast.
