Featuring a 24.5-megapixel partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor, the FP2 produces detailed still images with excellent colour reproduction, wide dynamic range and reduced rolling shutter distortion. Its dedicated STILL/CINE switch allows users to transition instantly between photography and filmmaking, with separate interfaces optimized for each workflow.

For filmmakers, the FP2 offers 6K Open Gate recording, Apple ProRes RAW support, L-Log recording and up to 14.1 stops of dynamic range under specified recording conditions. Combined with 70GB of built-in storage, fast continuous shooting and an improved autofocus system, the Sigma FP2 is designed to adapt to a wide range of creative applications.

Full-Frame 24.5MP Partially Stacked CMOS Sensor

At the heart of the Sigma FP2 is a 24.5-megapixel full-frame partially stacked CMOS sensor designed to deliver detailed images, natural colour reproduction and smooth tonal transitions.

The sensor's high-speed readout reduces rolling shutter distortion while supporting faster continuous shooting, improved autofocus performance and high-frame-rate video recording.

With a full-frame imaging area measuring 35.9 x 23.9mm, the FP2 provides the imaging flexibility needed for portraits, landscapes, documentary photography and professional video production.

Professional 6K Cinema Recording

The Sigma FP2 is designed to function as both a still photography camera and a compact digital cinema camera.

Its dedicated STILL/CINE switch provides instant access to separate interfaces and controls optimized for photography or filmmaking.

The FP2 supports 6K Open Gate recording using the full sensor area, providing additional flexibility for reframing footage into different aspect ratios during post-production.

Advanced Hybrid Autofocus

The FP2 combines phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus technologies to provide accurate and responsive subject tracking.

The improved autofocus system supports human, dog, cat and bird detection, including eye-detection autofocus.

Available focus modes include Single AF, Continuous AF, Tracking AF and Manual Focus, allowing photographers and filmmakers to choose the focusing method best suited to their subjects.

Additional focusing tools include focus peaking, manual focus magnification and adjustable focus ring control.

High-Speed Continuous Shooting

Capture fast-moving subjects with continuous shooting speeds of up to 20 frames per second.

The FP2 supports bursts of up to approximately 200 JPEG images or 180 DNG RAW images at 20 fps, allowing photographers to capture fleeting moments with greater confidence.

Additional continuous shooting speeds of 8 fps, 5 fps and 3 fps are available.

Compact Design with Tilting Touchscreen

Despite its full-frame sensor and professional recording capabilities, the Sigma FP2 maintains an exceptionally small and lightweight body.

Measuring approximately 112.8 x 69.9 x 41.8mm, it weighs just 376g without the battery and memory card.

The 3.15-inch touchscreen features approximately 2.1 million dots and tilts upward 90 degrees and downward 45 degrees, making it easier to compose photographs and video from high or low camera positions.

For users who prefer an electronic viewfinder, the optional Sigma EVF-21 attaches through a USB-C connection and provides a tilting viewing experience.
